LVT vs. LVP

Here at Hall’s we like to educate our clients on all types of flooring options, and which will work best for your home or business. Switching gears from just carpet, we provide Luxury Vinyl Plank (LVP) and we also have Luxury Vinyl Tile (LVT). Below, we’ve listed the contrasts in both.

LVP- These planks can be smooth or textured to mimic different types of materials, such as hardwood floors.  They’re able to be glued down, float or snap together for a rather quick and easy installation.

LVT- These beautiful tiles come in a wide array of lengths & widths compared to LVP. Therefore, its better suited for mimicking material like stone, granite, concrete but are also versatile and can be made to look like hardwood tiles and rectangles. Like LVP, they are also able to be glued down, float, snap together and they can also peel-and-stick for simple, easy installation.

Both are great options and are simple to clean, they don’t require harsh chemicals and you can use a wet mop with a gentle cleaner. Unlike hardwood floors, you do not have to wax vinyl floors to keep them looking great. Vinyl has a resilient surface, its waterproof properties are ideal for high moisture levels & humid environments.

US Open 2019!

This week, Hall’s installed high pile turf along with a wood-look click vinyl flooring for the US Open in Flushing Meadows, NY. Today’s vinyl comes in a variety of textures and are hand scraped and knotted. These options mimic the look of genuine hardwood and they feel like the real deal too!

Not just carpet!!

When most folks think of flooring, they usually think of carpet, hardwood, tile and laminate. Although these are most common, rubber flooring is a fantastic, resilient option that provides protection against many potential hazards. It lends anti-slip properties that protect from slip and falls, it increases surface comfort which is significant in the workplace where employees may have to stand for prolonged periods of time. Summer is truly one of our favorite times of the year!

With love in the air, flowers in bloom and the summer sun out & about, Hall’s Carpet has your wedding day covered! We recently did a beautiful wedding project at the legendary Cipriani’s in NYC, and this event was whimsical, unique and just exquisite. Hall’s offers customized aisle runners (see below for an event from 2015), dance floor installation, indoor/outdoor reception carpeting and so much more to make your special day memorable for you, and your guests. Our skilled installers are happy to work with wedding planners, event companies or with the clients directly. Hall’s Carpet takes pride in creating custom elements that will transform your day into an unforgettable experience.

NYC Rooftop Rose Garden!

Our crew did a fantastic job installing this beautiful, plush, grass carpet on the rooftop of The Surrey Hotel in New York City last week. With outdoor events approaching, our grass turf is a great option for parties, weddings, sporting events & more!

From lower pile astroturf, or higher, luxury style grass, we have several indoor and outdoor styles to choose from. Weather an issue? Not for us! We carry styles that have rubber backed, porous material & can withstand heavy rain. Artificial grass & turf can transform any indoor or outdoor area into a usable & functional space. Hall’s can provide many creative possibilities for using grass in areas never before imaginable!

Spring is the time of plans and projects!!

In recent months, we moved to our new warehouse here in Plainview, NY & have expanded our inventory! Everything from carpet tile, luxury vinyl tile, event grade carpet, area rugs, custom designs and logos, there’s nothing our team can’t do! One of our most recent inspirational projects was the Marc Jacobs fashion show (photos in gallery) at their new pop-up shop in NYC. Our skilled installers took this job to another level with floor to ceiling carpeting that completely made the show!
